The application period for fishermen to participate in the Pilot Fish in 2016 was closed on 1 March. Several good applications were submitted to the John Nurminen Foundation by fishermen/groups of fishermen from the area of Archipelago Sea. Seven applications were accepted and cooperation contracts with altogether eleven fishermen were signed in Taivassalo on 16 March. The fishing season will start as soon as the Archipelago Sea is free from ice, most probably in early April.
